History:
Mrs. Clement is a native of Clarinda. She attended Garfield Elementary for Kindergarten, then was a pupil at Immanuel Lutheran School until 8th grade. She graduated from Clarinda Community High School, went on to get her Associates Degree at Iowa Western Community College in Clarinda, and then received her Bachelor in Education at Concordia College in Seward, Nebraska. She was called to teach 3rd and 4th grade at Zion Lutheran School in Denison, Iowa where she stayed for 3 years. At that time she married Kevin Clement and moved back to Clarinda. She began teaching 3rd and 4th grade at St. Paul's Lutheran School in Yorktown. The following year the schools were combined at Southview. In 1991 the school was moved to the present location where Mrs. Clement has taught at various grade levels (2nd-5th). She is currently teaching grades 4-5 and 4-8 music. Mr. and Mrs. Clement live in rural Clarinda with their 3 children.
